Operation Cheer

Operation Cheer, the soup kitchen of Clinton Avenue Presbyterian Church in Newark, New Jersey, provides on average 200 nourishing meals to those in need each week. Additionally, Operation Cheer provides 100 bag lunches on the last Saturday of every month. Funds donated by CPC will be used by Operation Cheer to stabilize its operations through the performance of needed maintenance in the kitchen, pantry and dining areas of the church.

CPC members may volunteer in food preparation and as a worker at the soup kitchen. Donations of food for use in the month end bag lunches and special food baskets are also accepted.
