The Crisis Ministry of Princeton and Trenton
Princeton, NJ and Trenton, NJ
The Crisis Ministry of Princeton and Trenton is dedicated to preventing hunger and homelessness in Mercer County. The organization focuses on low income families and individuals who fall through the cracks in the social service system including the working poor, the unemployed, those on disability, and those on Public Assistance who are ineligible for or who have been denied Emergency Assistance. One area of assistance is the Crisis Ministry Rent and Security Deposit Assistance Program. Those who are threatened with court-ordered eviction or foreclosure, or who are homeless and in need of security deposit monies, are eligible to receive financial assistance of up to $700 per family. These funds are paid directly to courts, landlords, or mortgage companies. Assistance is limited to once every 12 months and a lifetime cap of $1,000. Funds provided by CPC will provide assistance to families through this program.
