Agape Community Kitchen

Agape Community Kitchen is a youth organized and led soup kitchen reaching out to the homeless and hungry in downtown Elizabeth, New Jersey. Agape operates out of the First Presbyterian Church of Elizabeth and is sponsored by The Presbyterian Church in Westfield. Approximately 250 to 350 individuals are provided a meal each Wednesday evening. Shopping, food preparation, cooking, serving dinner and clean up as well as clothing closet operations are accomplished by youth volunteers, aged 12 to 18 and adults including an intern from Princeton Theological Seminary. Funds donated by CPC will be used by Agape to purchase food for the soup kitchen and clothes for the clothing closet.

CPC members may volunteer in food preparation, working on site in Elizabeth or donate clothes for use in the clothing closet.
