Adult Spiritual Development: Women's Ministries
Presbyterian Women
Our Purpose:
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves:
- To nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study;
- To support the mission of the Church world wide;
- To work for justice and peace; and
- To build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian
Church (USA) and witnesses to the promise of God's kingdom.
Central Presbyterian Women focus on missions, Bible study, and fellowship. All women are invited and encouraged to participate. Opportunities offered include:
Program and Luncheon
First Tuesday at 10:00 am in October, December, February, and April in the church auditorium. Special speakers present subjects of particular interest and concern to women.
Circle Meetings
Third Tuesday at 9:30 am October through June in member's homes. Following fellowship and morning coffee, lessons in the Horizons Bible Study, led by the study leader, are discussed.
Church World Service Workshop
Fourth Tuesday at 10:00 am at the Church. Donated clothing is packed for the needy. A number of women knit and sew many needed items such as afghans and baby outfits. Members bring a sandwich for lunch with coffee and cookies served by circle members.
All women are cordially invited to participate. For more information, please contact the church office (980) 273-0441.
