Baptism Policies

Parents of the child to be baptized ordinarily shall be members of the church, or in some way related to members. Those who are not members must send a baptismal request in writing to the church addressed to the pastor for session approval.

Baptisms are normally scheduled for the last Sunday of each month. Sign-ups are on a first come, first served basis. If the Sunday is filled the family may choose another month. There may be exceptions to this by special arrangement with the pastor.

Normally only two families may have their children baptized at each service. The parents may request a service time (8:30 a.m. or 9:45 a.m.)

It is required that both parents of the child meet with the Pastor performing the baptism prior to the baptism itself. This is usually scheduled for sometime during the week before the baptism. To schedule a baptism or for more information, please contact the church office (908) 273-0441.

If you expect a large number of guests and would like to reserve seating, please call the church office one week before the baptism to make arrangements.
